I decided the recent warm weather warranted removal of the beard . . . but not without a little creative trimming first.
Lyn seemed to like this one:
Put me on a Harley and I'd almost look tough. Not quite though.
And yes, I shaved the rest of it off :)

Busted!
Cannon got caught sleeping on the couch today. He sleeps in the bedroom with us, but managed to slip out when one of us got up in the middle of the night. Since he chewed our last couch to pieces (just a wee bit of separation anxiety), he has been forbidden from hanging out on the couch. We let it slide this time though. He was so darn cute, we couldn't bring ourselves to boot him off.
Lynnie snuck up on him when she woke up and snagged this picture:

Home sweet *cough* *cough* . . . . home?
Due to the expanding family, we need to move to a slightly larger apartment. Here it is:
Looks ok, right? Except for that little sign . . .
So, they're cleaning it up, which is nice. However, the lead paint is there to stay. Yup, that's right. Their remediation strategy for the lead is to bury it under layers of unleaded paint so it doesn't flake off. I guess we'll just have to keep the baby from gnawing on the window jambs.
In the words of the great Alfred E. Newman, "What, me worry?"

Snow
We had some good winter weather yesterday, bringing the snow depth up to my knees. Although I grumbled a little bit about shovelling (again), it was fun to wade through the snow with Cannon. He's 11 years old and slowing down a bit (makes those "old man" noises when lies down or rises) but when he gets out in the snow he's a puppy again. He seems to enjoy burying his head in the snow with his butt up in the air.
