Gilly saw me brushing my teeth this morning, and as usual she asked for her toothbrush ("teeth! teeth!").
When I handed it to her, she said "ank ooo" (thank you).
It was the first time she said "thank you" without prompting from us.

He's All Boy
A few weeks ago Gilly and I were grocery shopping. She likes to hold things while we're shopping, and this time I let her carry a coconut. It can be a dramatic scene when it comes time to take the item away and have it scanned, so I normally wait until the last second and hand it back to her after it is scanned.
This time, the cashier noticed Gilly clinging to the coconut and she asked "does he think it's a ball?"
People frequently think Gilly is a boy, and sometimes I don't bother correcting them. It doesn't bother Gilly (yet), and it certainly doesn't bother me, so I just nodded and said "I think so."
She replied with a smile, "he's all boy!"

Comedian
Every day, Gilly cracks us up with her antics. Some recent things she does that keep us entertained are:
pulling Lyn's underwear off the laundry rack and putting them over her head
putting things in the washing machine (you never know what you'll find in there)
trying to put our shoes on (sometimes putting both feet in the same shoe)
running around screeching LOUDLY just for the heck of it
she learned to say "no"
she HAS to brush her teeth whenever I do
and many more things I can't think of right now
